friskyRadio Loves Japan: We at FRISKY have a soft spot for Japan. Indeed, our Lead Programming Ninja lives in an undisclosed location in Japan (he wouldn't be a ninja if he was so easily found would he?)

Ever since the Tohoku earth quake happened on March 11 we have wished, like so many others, that we could do more to help the incredible people of Japan. That is why we have set up a donation drive along with this show. More details on that below...

But more than a mere funds drive, FRISKY Loves Japan is a celebration of the strength and resilience of the Japanese people. Their grace in tines of immense tragedy is an inspiration to all. We celebrate this unique quality with music from the most talented Japanese DJs right now.

The friskyRadio crew always had a special love for Japan. The beautiful culture, the amazing food and wonderful people. That's why we are dedicating this special episode of "friskyRadio loves" to all the survivors and relatives who lost their loved ones in this terrible tragedy and to Japan as a nation to ease their pain and to give them the strength they deserve.

Having been to the first house parties in Japan during the early 90`s in Tokyo, he has seen the whole dance music movement arise in Tokyo. His early influences came from the sounds of world renowned dj/production duo Deep Dish. His first production dates back to 1997 where he started writing tracks of his own while working on various remixes. In 2002, OMB released his first album "Night Shift" via Tokyo`s essential promoter, Anoyo. The following year in 2003, his talent was once again discovered by Anthony Pappa which lead to his first vinyl single (Beeperhorn / Whiteroom on 3 Beat Records), a record which was praised as "the best record from 3 Beat Records in a long time" from ProgressiveSounds.com.

Following this stellar vinyl debut, OMB released a second production on Womb Recordings called "Explicit". In 2004, he was asked to produce a remix of Dave Seaman`s hit release, "My Own Worst Enemy". OMB's success continued with a production called "Code05" which made it's way on Silver Planet`s compilation & vinyl EP, "The Secret Planet". In May of 2005, OMB released"Flying Over Tokyo EP" on NYC based Acute Recordings, an ep that sold out world wide in under two weeks time. And on July 15th, of 2005, OMB will be releasing his highly anticipated 2nd album called "Flying Over Tokyo" (an accumulation of his work over the last two and a half years being released across the world via Aqua Recordings).
