FRISKYRADIO LOVES HUNGARY
|

28 MAY 2011 @ 6AM Los Angeles | 09AM New York | 1500 BUDAPEST [Calculate time where you are]
The Concept: Pick a region, usually a country, and showcase its electronic dance music to the world. The hand-picked DJs from the friskyRadio robots are sure to paint a unique picture of whats hot in that part of the world.
The Show: friskyRadio Loves...
The History: It all began with Argentina. Back in 2005, we had an idea: Why not do a show solely on Argentina, where some of the most passionate friskyRadio DJs and fans come from. Indeed, the first friskyRadio Loves Argentina wasnt even called "friskyRadio Loves Argentina," for even we didnt know what a unique concept and show we were pioneering. At the time, there was simply nothing like it anywhere: not on Internet Radio, not in FM radio. Like so many things on friskyRadio - we were the first to bring the 'Country/Region' showcase concept to the world. Since then have visited well over 30 countries or regions, from Russia to Finland, from Turkey to Greece and everything in between.
friskyRadio Loves HUNGARY: We last visited Hungary back in 2006. Now, more than 5 years and millions of beats later, we are back in the land of history, culture and Pálink. Hungary is frisky.

VG vs. Dave Sullivan is a project of two Hungarian guys. They started to work together in 2005.
VG made his first tracks in 1997 with only one pc. He likes a lot of type of music, but the electronic dance music is the first in his life. His favorite instrument is the grand piano, the melodies he composed are mostly inspired by the classical sound of a Steinway piano.
Dave Sullivan was born in 1988. Music always played an important part of his life. He learned to play the piano for more years, but the dance music was more interesting for him. His work is inspired nowadays by: Myon & Shane 54, Armin Van Buuren, Karol XVII & MB Valence, In Deep We Trust, Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic, Sebastian Davidson, Evren Ulusoy.
The roots of the VG vs. Dave Sullivan sound are in trance. After a few years common work the guys found their sound in 2008. The bmp is little bit slower then in the earlier tracks, but the melody is always an important part of the tracks. Nowadays they make melodic progressive house, deep house or tech house, but the signs of trance can be found in their tracks too.
The tracks of the guys are supported by Markus Schulz, Hernan Cattaneo, Andy Moor, Miss Mine and many more.

Haazy
 |
My name is Zsolt Hazi, I first came in contact with electronic music through my friends in the spring of 2000. It all begun with Slam Jr.'s Strictly Trance Symphony record. A whole new world opened up for me, one that I had not known before. A few months later I acquired some Globalunderground records, which captivated my imagination. The Northern Exposure record by Sasha & John Digweed simply blew me away. To this day I treasure my dedicated copy of it. I begun collecting mixes and albums, an activity I still continue today.
On March 2001, I took part in a Globalunderground event at the Home Club in Budapest with Chriss and Kuhl as well as Seb Fontaine. In June the same year Dave Seaman visited Hungary followed by Sander Kleinenberg, Anthony Pappa and Sasha in August. It was a fantastic experience. This period had great influence on me. I bought my first vinyl record in September and my first turntable in October. At first I practiced in an audition hall where my friends and I threw a few memorable parties, including a Christmas party.
My first public gig was in February 2002 where I met two of my future partners with whom we started a monthly series of parties called "Deep Dazzle". I would like to thank Boti for all he taught me and for giving me the chance to play with great Hungarian DJs like Kuhl, Dandy, Junkie, Sylvie, Julez aka Bakony Scamp.
From 2008 I get involved in music productions and working on monthly show here on FriskyRadio.

Del Sol
 |
Del Sol as. Istvan Vezsenyi Born in Kecskemet (Hungary) 21.06.1984. He learnt classical music and piano for 13years in Kodaly Zoltan Music School (he got his first piano when he was one years old:). During his secondary school years, he started producing and writing own tracks, his veryfirst dj experiences comes also from those times. First he played popular, housy club music but was more and more interested in progressive sound and melodies. Finally the feeling that he can explain himself with progressive music just as he did with classical - caught him completely. Since then he's working hard, unbroken and ambiciously to achieve his dreams. In 2005 he started his own clubnight - Siren Song that reaches more and more people from party to party. He met with Snake Sedrick (Tilthmusic) and Andro (Baroque). On March of 2006 they played together and made the best best party (Siren Song) in story of Kecskemet city. After he prepared an introducing mix for Proton Radio (Los Angeles) on May of 2006 which one it played at Indigo Show. These moments brought the breaktrough, but his career really started when he was the first who booked Eelke Kleijn to Hungary on Dec of 2006. On May of 2007 booked again Eelke to Hungary and they played together again at Kecskemet and otherday they played a back to back set at the capital city of Hungary (Budapest). On the summer of 2007 he started his first radioshow at Gong Radio ? Kecskemet, what we can hear by 6 pcs FM line and online also every Thursday from week to week through 2 hours. His guests were: Snake Sedrick, Andro, Jay Lumen, Add2Basket, Mannel, Pat Duff, Balakrishnan, Eelke Kleijn, Garay, Moonline?cetc On May of 2008 he played again with Eelke Kleijn in Ukraine (Uzghorod) at Club Kashtan. On June of 2008 he is the Artist of the week on Frisky Radio and he started to make many ?feelin?f frisky?h mix for the radio. From the end of 2008 he unfolded his deep mind in chill/ambient stlye and roughly once a month he makes chill mixes to Frisky Radio. It was a surprise for many hungarian listeners because that is as an absolutely unique style in this country. He started his monthly radioshow (Travelsounds) with CzD from August of 2009 on friskyRadio.

DYNAMIC ILLUSION
 |
Dynamic Illusion, also known as Daniel Gyarmati, was born in 1985 in Szombathely, Hungary. Music has been a part of his life since his childhood years. His father's loves of music also infected him in his early years with his old vinyl classics like Kraftwerk and Jean Michell Jarre.
Daniel spent eight years honing his musical talent at a music conservatory, playing for the local orchestra. After getting his first PC at age 13, he began to discover the musical possibilities of the computer, composing his first pieces of music. At the same time, he became exposed to the DJ scene, attending parties and becoming influenced by the energetic tech sounds of Dave Clark, Chris Liebing, and Umek, as well as the progressive music of DJs like John Digweed, Sasha, Dave Seaman, and Max Graham.
Daniel's musical obsession made him search his inner self for something unique. He was torn: he still loved the energy that techno gave him, but at the same time felt that the genre was regressing. He was in dire need of change and found his real love: progressive house. This was music where you could combine funk, drive, melodies, ass-shaking beats, and awkward sounds all in one, rather than using a single formula that he had grown tired of.
In 2005, Daniel attended Oktopusz Multimedia, a school for sound technicians, and he learned the basics of the sound engineering. He set up a small music studio and devoted himself to producing. After a lot of hard work and endless hours on his PC, he managed to finish his first quality remix for his good friend Retroid. That remix of "Daybreak" was signed to FeralCode Records and later hit the Top 3 of the ResonantVibes.com sales chart. He soon followed that with the winning entry in Toes in the Sand Recording's remix contest for The Last Atlant's "In Leaps and Bounds" (from the Speechless Poetry EP).
Besides his work as a producer, Daniel is also credited as being an excellent DJ. He helps to organize the famous Deep In Da Night progressive house parties in Budapest, which has featured talent like Snake Sedrick, Lank, Blackman, and many more. His sets these days are as diverse as his productions, blending progressive, breaks, and deep house into a very distinct and atmospheric sound.

2008 started with a fresh new formation called Nonverbal Community! Kay join near Mannel & Kornel to create their common definition of house music! In the near future you will hear more from this formation for sure cause the first NTD release will be issue of the guys first collective work called 'Side 2 Side'! What is NTD? Well, beyond the unity of Nonverbal Community the guys spread the 'NoTalking' brand and launch the label 'NoTalking Digital'. After 2 years of success releases Kornel moved forward to the label to find other challenges for himself in the scene.
In 2008 Kornel also joined to the Fairlads Digital Records family to present his deeper sounds under the label. Fairlads Digital Records was founded in 2007.
