Influenced by dj's like Anthony Pappa, Steve Lawler and John Digweed he got closer to the turntables to becomea dj. And after his 10 years in the scene, creating a sound that goes through progressive house, tech-house and electro, and also being Key Club (UY) Resident Dj, he turned into one of the most respected dj/producers in his country.

His djing took him to play in Uruguay, Argentina, Brasil and Australia. Playing at places like Sonic (uy), Key (uy), W. Lounge (uy), Bar Iguana (Br), Aura Lounge (au), Castles (au), El Dorado (ar), Jacko's (ar) and one of the Springlove Uruguay artists (springlove-uy.com where he closed the after party) among others. Where he shared booth with: Valentino Kanzyani (Slo), Marko Nastic (Ser), Kamisshake (Uk), Dj Dorian (Cl), Marcelo Castelli (Uy), Dj Gabo (Br), Spitfire (Ar), Miguel Silver (Ar), Marcos Paz (Ar), Dj Corrie (Uk), Denise Konzen (Br), Romix (Ar), Juan Pablo Sgalia (Ar), Eduardo Esquivel (Uy), Rocha & Lewinger (Uy), Dj Koolt (Uy) and many more. In 2007 he has become resident dj at Key (uy) wich is one of the most important dance clubs in Uruguay.

His sound and productions got him closer to the international scene, and got the chance to play at some of the most importan international radios like: FriskyRadio where he has a show called Quimika Sessions twice a month, Digitally Imported, Eccentric Beats, Mercury Sessions, Urbana FM, Capital FM, Prolejtas FM, Justmusic.fm, Cba.fm, Beatbox.fm, and ADN Alternative.

As a producer, his tracks goes from Tech and Progressive Tribal to Progressive House and some electro aswell. Always with a little deep and dark sound on them. He had signed tracks with Adjust Recordings, L2 Music, Resurgent and Distraekt Records to name a few, and with more to come. And also has some featured on CD compilations for PMB Music and Beef Records. Some of his tracks had been played by Hernan Cattaneo on his radio show "Resident from London". Hailing from the UK Darren Flecta is fast becoming a recognized name in all corners of the globe through his unique sound in both DJ sets and his own music productions. His sound is a fusion of House and Techno, from the deep and groovy to the lush melodic and hypnotic. 2008 has been a busy studio year for Darren producing a number of original works and remixes that have been released on respected labels such as Subversive, Bonzai Music, Quimika and Musashi Records. 2009 looks set to heat up even more for Darren with a number of projects already lined up for release early in the year including Darren’s much talked about remix of Cevin Fishers classic “The Freaks Come Out”. With attention and praise from many of the industry’s biggest players including no less than Cevin Fisher himself calling Darren’s production work “On Fire” There is an increasingly large demand for Darren’s remixes.

2009 will see Darren splitting his time between his busy studio work with more original releases and remixes and his increasingly demanding DJ & touring schedule.

He will be playing various European gigs between February and April 09 in line with his new singles due for release in March and from June 09 he will begin his summer DJ schedule taking his unique sound to new international destinations.

Darren’s upcoming release on Quimika Records called “Hydro” will be out on December the 19th. He will be playing a special set exclusively for Friskyradio.com on December the 1st.
