FeralCode. FeralCode House Music. FeralCode Records. The man behind these projects is Ferenc Kocsis, a 31 years old progressive house producer from Hungary.
Ferenc's musical path started as a trained, classical piano player and performed with live blues and jazz-rock bands. At the same time he discovered the amazing world of electronic music and began to indulge himself into the many sub-genres of the electronic sounds.
Although music was always his biggest passion, Ferenc had few years silence after the university, as his job and his private life did not give him enough time to compose. After he settled down he started to compose again, and joined Ctgmusic, an online community, where he became later one of the administrator. There, besides he developed his music techniques, he also learnt a lot about online communities.
FeralCode became alive around 2 years ago, dedicated to progressive music. At the early stages, that progressive music was rather trance, but after FeralCode won the Club Rotation remix contest by Sterbinszky, one of the most popular dj in Hungary, he felt house is the music he really enjoys.
After that success, in November 2004 aj blue, the house label of audiojelly, signed FeralCode's first track 'Next time'. And then the story started.
FeralCode House Music, which was first mainly the artist page of FeralCode, is started to be coded during New Year's Eve 2004, and became online in January 2005. After few months of work FeralCode House Music became a house community. A house community, the home of progressive, tech and tribal house, where you can listen to our guest artists, download mixes, read music news, browse and write in our forum, see useful links, check charts and other fun stuff. A site, which might be interesting to house lovers, listeners, djs and artists.
Beside that, the music also continued. FeralCode's remix on Sentient Audio Collective, for Michael Lanning 'Sacred Geometry' has reached top 2 in the overall Beatport download chart and has been in the top 5 in the Edm Digital downloads. FeralCode has continued his remixing journey with Simuck - Remember me, and he created a 4/4 vocal version from the original breakbeat track, which finally has been greatly appreciated by FiberlineAudio and has become the label's pick on the remix contest.
After the success, FeralCode received another remix opportunity by Sentient Audio Collective, and that was Deep Mariano - Random influences, which was also played by Shiloh that time. In this summer FeralCode had the possibility to work with Bárány & Jován, another very popular djs in Hungary, and his remix of their track was released on the official Budapest Parade compilation CD.
During the summer another thing started. After many conversation with the guest artists on the site, and some of his other friends, FeralCode decided to create the site's own label, FeralCode Records. FeralCode Records is a digital only underground label specialising in the progressive, tribal, tech house, progressive trance and breaks, releasing tracks and remixes of talented upcoming artists.
And that long work comes true very soon, as FeralCode Records' first release will be on shops these weeks.
FeralCode is on the way with his further own releases and remixes and plenty of plans and additions on www.feralcode.com. Keep eye and ear out for FeralCode and the website and the army of talented musicians on www.feralcode.com.
