As a DJ Alex never takes a dance floor for granted. He sees everyone as an opportunity; to fill the floor with the vibe that is demanded of him. Alex never disappoints. Never. Instead, he creates crowds – no matter the size of the venue or the time slot. Only then can he lead them to the promise land. And because his signature style is a charged mix of Electro and House music he takes the crowd on a journey that is down right dirty. His ability to carry a dance floor to a destination of funk and back by playing just the right tracks has made him a hot commodity in NY and beyond. His live sets are a unified sound meant to “challenge the audience’s ear and make the crowd want to dance their ass off.”
Having earned the right to rock a crowd while DJing alongside the likes of Sander Kleinenberg, Seb Fontaine, Behrouz and more no other DJ can deliver “planet disco” to the dance floor like Alex. Period. It’s one of the reasons why he’s regularly asked to play at some of the best clubs and venues that NYC has to offer – from Crobar, Pacha, and Cielo, to the Village’s trendiest House music crawls like the Sullivan Room, Le Souk and 205...
Alex’s commitment to the House music scene has extended beyond playing behind the decks. He paid his dues working in the trenches for the dance floor and he still does. Alex first discovered his love of electronic music at a rave in Toronto. “The combination of the energy of the music, the décor, and the crowd created one moment that changed my life. I knew right then that this was the life I was meant to be a part of.” Having worked as a promoter for Destiny Productions in Toronto, with the Kinetic Records Street team in New York, as an organizer for Centro-fly’s Tribalism party, and as a partner of the Touched by a DJ production company Alex has done it all. He is keenly aware that parties do not happen by accident. They take careful planning and work to be a success. Alex’s appreciation of this fact singles him out as more than just the type of DJ who shows up late at a venue expecting to have a crowd waiting just for him to dazzle them with parlor tricks. He brings to each and every party the attitude that is willing to do whatever it takes to rock out.
Alex is fashioning a sound for the dance floor that is meant for the world stage. He is set to play the world with his New York born edgy sound. The future of House music awaits Alex Pearce and he is more than ready.
