Cedric Piret is one of the most exciting djs within the Belgian dance scene. Influenced by music in it's many forms from an early age, Cedric carries this diversity over into his style of programming and record selection. His keen ear for sound is not restricted to the dancefloor however, as by day Cedric works at Extrazone, one of Belgium 's leading record stores. Together with a friend, Cedric oversees the day to day running of the vinyl department. An avid music lover, one of Cedric's hobbies including collecting music, and he owns over 30,000 records of styles as diverse and far apart as early techno house rave classics and new-wave.

It was also at the store that he first came into contact with fellow Belgian, Benoit Franquet. Discovering a shared love for music and a mutual respect for each other, CP entered the studio with Benoit, the former's musical ideas combining with the latter's production skills to create tracks that could move the dancefloor, whilst being accessible outside of the club environment. Their debut release 'Apollo Vibes' as Pole Folder & CP is testament to this, capturing the imagination of many and the attention of DJ John Digweed who has been a big supporter of the duo's releases, kicking of his Los Angeles Global Underground mix compilation with the track, signing them to a multi single deal on his highly respected label Bedrock. His support has brought international recognition for the duo's work, with Cedric also receiving a guest slot on John's prestigious KissFM radio show. Apollo Vibes was also featured on the original soundtrack of the american movie .The Rave'.Their release .Dust', also featured on Digweed's MMII mix compilation, was used as a television station Channel 4 trailer tune, and thus reached millions of people who are familiar with their talent without knowing who's behind the stunning track.

Having played at all the famous Belgian clubs such as 'Boccacio' and .La Rocca' or .La Bush' and running his own monthly show on Topradio, Belgium's national house radio station and also a monthly bi show NRJ, Cedric has held down residencies, including a six years residency at one of the country's biggest nightclub, .The Palladium'. Other notable dj slots were held at .Tao After Club' , .Baramundi' and also with Pole Folder in a club in Brussels called Factory, but over the years he has held guest slots at pretty much every popular Belgian nightspot, with a particular highlight being 'Fuse' where he has warmed up for many djs, including John Digweed himself or at Café.Anvers with Pole Folder for the Sasha Involver Tour.

Nowadays he got a residency at Pulse Factory (www.pulse-factory.com) , a new big club in Belgium who is special by his strong musical quality, his visuals shows and also the quality of the guests dj.s invited like Kosmas Epsilon, Matthew Dekay, Gabriel Ananda, Criss Source.

After a collaborative work on studio during the conception of Pole Folder's debut artist album and some forthcoming Pole Folder & CP projects and remixes on the horizon, the coming months hold much promise, with Cedric's international dj bookings on the rise, going from Greece, Switzerland and Monaco to Mexico and Germany, as well as his different residencies in belgium clubs, as both he and Benoit work towards taking their careers to the next level. Like the launching of the Apollo shuttles, Cedric's journey has just begun, and there is still much more unchartered territory to uncover, but Cedric's career knows no boundaries, just like the dark void that is space.
