While many people may claim to know Chrisf sound, with their focus on continually labeling him one thing or another, Chris is equally as focused on his efforts to push back the musical boundaries. It is testament to the man that he continues to develop his sound and musical direction, after all, as the man says himself "I just like to play good underground music, I donft limit myself."
It is artists such as Chris Fortier who are inextricably linked to the underground dance music scene that are the genuinely pushing the sound forward. Chrisf determination to continue to push the envelope can be seen in all aspects of his career. Proof of this can be found on his recent triple CD compilation Balance and his recent solo production under the 40oz moniker and his stellar debut artist album As Long As The Moment Exits.
The Balance CD genuinely offers something exciting and underground to the current stale compilation market. Boasting tracks from across the musical spectrum like David Gilmore Girls, Global Communication and Floppy Sounds through to Slam, Matthew Jonson, Rabbit in the Moon and Bent. It is little wonder the CD was name checked for compilation of the year by numerous international press publications.
Under his 40oz production guise Chris has released the several EPs that musically could fit comfortably on labels such as Cocoon, Kompakt or Get Physical. Further remixes of Alexi Delano, Joshua Collins, Lee Burridge, Freaky Chakra and John Selway show Chrisf genre defying sound at itfs underground best. Taking this a step further in 2007, his debut artist album was released to countless plaudits and impeccable praise. Not satisfied with status quo, look for the boundaries to continue to be pressed and pushed with each coming musical excursion.
With a DJ career spanning 15 plus years, he has continually been a crowd favourite, confirmed by his very first residency at the legendary "Aahz" in Orlando through to more recent residencies at The Cross in London and at Twilo in New York. Since a debut European tour in 1997, Chris has gone on to consistently tour the globe behind numerous singles, remixes and no less than 9 mix albums. You can catch him as easily in Tokyo as in Buenos Aires and all points in between on any given weekend.
To those that know Fortierfs history, they know to expect plenty more to come, for those that are just getting initiated, Welcome!

Steve Porter
 |
The next generation of electronic music producers is gaining hold and leading the charge is DJ/production phenom STEVE PORTER. His prolific productions have garnered international attention and are propelling him into America?s future DJ-cum-producer star. Steve Porter is just released his first-ever mix compilation ?PORTERHOUSE? with 26 tracks melded together on 1xCD in his signature genre-defying, pulsating, energetic Porterhouse style. The album merges his DJing and production style with 9 of his own original tracks, further blurring the distinction between DJ and producer into one compelling artist to watch.
Once in a blue moon there comes along a prodigy that is noticed by the big guns and whose talent catapults them onto the world stage. Something of a child prodigy from a famous scientist father, Steve?s first love was discovering electronic sounds at 16 years old. From Boston to New York, Steve Porter has evolved from record store clerk, mobile DJ to New England rave DJ to landing on the roster at one of the most prestigious booking agencies in the world. Steve Porter was discovered by Chris Fortier when Chris heard a CDR of his productions in 1999. Chris quickly brought him into the FADE Records fold. Soon thereafter, Steve was signed as the youngest member to join The Collective Agency; home to Sasha, U.N.K.L.E., and Lee Burridge. He began touring across the U.S., Canada, South America, Australia, Asia and Europe and has played alongside Sasha on the Airdrawndagger & Involver North American tours, Sander Kleinenberg on the Essential Mix Tour and also headlining a hectic schedule of national and international DJ dates.
Over the last six years, Steve has amassed a wide portfolio of over 70 singles and 28 remixes under his name and the many aliases (Agent 001, HDF & Bons) used to suit the mood of the song. His myriad of tracks have been dominating dancefloors globally with the versatility of Porterhouse finding its way into the record boxes of everyone from Sasha, Lee Burridge, Derrick Carter, Carl Cox, Sander Kleinenberg, Mark Farina and Paul van Dyk. Steve?s debut artist album ?Homegrown? released in 2005 on Fade Records is an amalgam of his various unique styles and melodic nuances. The expertly mixed album brings together 14 original tracks. Some of which have already garnered wide attention with inclusion of the tracks on numerous high-profile dance music labels & compilations including; "Vodka Cranberries" on hot new label Nu Republic, "Definite Form" on Sander Kleinenberg?s Little Mountain Records and included on his recent Everybody CD for Renaissance, and most recently, the track ?Swanky? has been included on ?ool Felix da Housecat?s upcoming Playboy: The Mansion compilation.
The essence of Porterhouse brings the energetic action to the dancefloor where the warm, funky basslines and cool percussion melt away any chin stroking pretensions and the resonating guitar & piano hooks lure you into an eternal groove. Make no mistake, Porterhouse is party house.

Adrian Ravelo
 |
At the age of 20, New York City based DJ/Producer, Adrian Ravelo has already experienced the wonder of performing for others at all sorts of events and nights. It all started at the age of 9 when Adrian's passion for electronic music grew exceptionally big thanks to the likes of The Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method, Prodigy, Fluke and other big beat acts around at the time. Soon there after, at the age of 12, Adrian finally got his hands dirty. He quickly got a taste of what it's like to be behind decks and he was hooked. He picked up the feel for the music rather quickly but after 2 years experimenting with trance, it just wasn't working for him. While he began to hone his mixing abilities, Adrian found himself playing more and more house and progressive trance in his mix sets. Adrian eventually found himself molding heavy loaded baseline sounds with rich, enticing, melodies. The rest is history. Currently, Adrian is one of New York City's fastest growing, young up and coming DJs/Producers. With his hands involved in 2 recording labels as well as handling remix projects for major labels like Warner Brothers, Interscope, Universal, and others, Adrian keeps himself busy performing around the states and abroad opening up for acts such as Filo & Peri, George Acosta, Saeed Younan and others. To Adrian its all about spreading great music and having a good time so keep an eye out for when he'll be playing in your area!

A "Stuck up, Half-Witted, Scruffy-Looking Nerf-Herder" in New York can only be described as "ONE OF THEM".
Knowing more things about him would not change anything. The odds on things changing would be the same as when you successfully navigate a ship in an asteroid field. Approximately 3,720 to 1.

Blue Room Project
 |
Jeff Belfi is a New York based producer and dj. He crosses the boundaries placed on today's music industry with ease, drawing on influences from progressive, tech house, breaks and everything in between, with an emphasis on warm, organic spatial sounds. It was in 94 when he picked up a pair of decks that he soon became fascinated by the music. From that very moment music would stick in the forefront of his mind forever, and a thirst to explore and develop his musical skills further turned him to producing. With his own unique style within his DJ sets, Jeff was able to mesmerize and uplift clubs in Detroit, New York, Miami, Canada, Israel and Mexico. His sets would build a smooth but powerful stream of music. You can sense the constant flow of communication between him and the crowd as each piece of music was seamlessly mixed.
In early 2002 Jeff joined with Shane Ehlers and formed Blue Room Project. They moved from Long Island to Manhattan, and focused primarily on production. The duo experimented with various sound setups in which they could develop in their own productions. This not only would help add a unique twist to their DJ sets, but also take their music to the world stage. Since then, Blue Room Project has been signed by Sabotage Systems, CP Recordings, Confi-Dance, Nascent, Screen, Sog, Red Ant, Blueprint, Vapour, Dubcoast, CPR White, Cure, Winds West and several upcoming. With the many original tracks and various remixes from some big names due out in 2004-05, Blue Room Project is well on their way. Jeff also just began his own Label Management and Label Group called Mixturi Global along with his own label's Mixturi Recordings, Linear Recordings and Criminal. Paolo Mojo, Habersham, Philip Charles, Randall Jones, Hernan Cattaneo, Ozgur Can, Noel Sanger and Madoka are among some of the artist currently on the roster.

Sleepy & Boo play house music of all shapes and sizes, rocking rooms big and small across New York City and beyond. They love thick drums, big basslines, hypnotic grooves and tripped-out sci-fi synthesizers. Forget sticking to one genre ? in a typical set, they'll cover everything from lush deepness and funky, stripped-down tracks to pulsating minimal beats and dark, jacked-up electronic elements. Moving beyond a typical DJ performance, the duo perform a unique tag-team set: while one is manning the turntables, the other is adding samples, loops and effects via their KAOSS pad and Electribe sampler. The result is a crowd-energizing performance that always keeps the dancefloor moving.

Outside of their Sullivan Room homebase, Sleepy & Boo have dropped memorable DJ sets at all of New York's leading nightlife venues. At New York superclub Pacha, Sleepy & Boo are regular main-room openers, as well as talent coordinators for the local-focused basement room. Opencloud
 |
In todayfs electronic scene it has become increasingly more difficult to define onefs sound. Technology has simplified the process of making music, which in turn has increased the amount of music one can play. How does one break out of this future world of music and not get lost in the shuffle? How does one define their sound? It does not come easy, and Opencloud has achieved their sound with countless hours in the studio and endless dance floor nights.
Opencloudfs sound is unique and can rarely be classified to one genre. You never know what style to expect with each new release. The only constant is top quality productions and forward thinking music. Because of this, their tracks have garnered the support from the likes of Hybrid, Phil K, Nick Warren, James Zabiela, and have been dropped at some of the biggest club nights in the world. Their sound has been heard on some of the top DJ shows on Kiss FM, Radio 1, XM, and Proton Radio. The duofs remix work is in high demand as well, with remixes done for Pole Folder, Kirsty Hawkshaw, Randall Jones, Royal Sapien, and Kriece to name a few. Their releases have made them the number one selling artist on Proton Music, and pushed their music around the globe on labels from Praesul, Olaris Records, Arabica, and Infusionfs own label Music for Vinyl.
It is not only their productions that are turning heads, but Opencloudfs performances are not to be missed. Their energy is infectious, as they assault the crowd with low slung funk to massive breaks, and twisted genres in between. Until one has seen their show, it is difficult to explain the experience Opencloud provides to the club goers. Their performances have given them the ability to share the stage over the years at WMC with Spooky, Jonathen Lisle, Pole Folder, and Neil Quigley. As for headlining duties they push their sound across some of the best club cities in the world, ultimately creating new fans wherever they go.
In addition to a busy production and travel schedule, Opencloud has one of the top rated shows on Proton Radio called Open Up. Formerly called Mousa, the show began back in early 2005 and is yet another great avenue to help showcase their varying musical styles. With new DJ mixes provided every month from themselves and guest DJs, one can witness the influences currently affecting their music. It is easy to see why their show Open Up has caused so much attention.
Opencloudfs productions, remixes, and performances have received great praise from the industry and dance community since they came onto the scene in 2004, but whatfs next for Opencloud? Where do they go from here? After successfully wrapping up their first full length DJ compilation on Proton Music in 2007, the pair has focused their attention on their debut artist album. Set to release sometime in 2008, the album will feature collaborations from highly respected artists and will push their music in a direction very few have heard, but before the album release expect Opencloud to continue to churn out mind bending remixes and few other surprises on the way. This is Opencloud.
Opencloud is Corey Spengler and Blake Potter

Dj Q
 |
Inspired by his uncle as well as the legendary Friday Night Dance parties on WQHT Hot 97.1 (NY) DJ Q began DJing in the mid part of the 1990fs. After purchasing his first set of turntables (a set of Geminifs) and a mixer (also a Gemini) I began honing his skills in my bedroom. After playing local parties and finally managing to upgrade to better equipment Q finally got a break when one of his mix tapes got me a call to play at a bar in NYC. Q continued to work diligently, entering mix contest after mix contest and got his first real big chance when he was a runner up in a mix contest and was asked by promoter Kenny L. to play at one of the rooms at the legendary Tunnel night club in NYC. Gigs at Speed and Aria to name a few followed.
Accolades such as being one of the finalists in URB Magazines mix contest in the early 2000s as well as a favorable review [from URB Magazine] for his mix tape gSchizophreniah followed. In around 2001 Q hooked up with the Bedroom DJ posse (in NYC) and was a regular at their Bedroom DJ nights, it was at these parties that Q hooked up with DJ partner and collaborator DJ Rob Murray. Together the duo has recorded mix sets for Brian Owenfs Above Ground radio show (our mix at the time had the most listens for the Above Ground show) as well as throwing down at the now defunct NYC party Home Grown. Though the two of have been busy doing solo projects recently, they are still collaborators and will hopefully be working on new projects in the near future.
In 2007 Q started QUEMedia Radio podcast to expose the world to some of the more unrecognized DJs out there as well at to show case his own mixing talent. The show has been met with favorable reviews and has showcased such talents as DJ Dan Stringer from Canada, DJ Deep.Anick from Vienna & DJ G-Ron from NYC to name a few. Holosound
 |
Holosound came together on the beaches of Miami in March of 2003. Since that time, Alex Fish and Noah Becker have been working hard to build Holosound into an entity synonymous with high energy live sets as well as groundbreaking production. With several releases under their belt and an increasingly diverse resume of venues theyfve played worldwide, things are just starting to get exciting for these two young men.
Both Alex and Noah have been DJing since the late 90fs but only began formally pursuing it as a career choice together as Holosound in October of 2004 when Alex relocated to New York City from Los Angeles. Prior to that time Noah had been spending the majority of his time working with several prolific music producers in and around the city and learning the ins and outs of digital audio production and . Alex had been working in the film industry and DJing along the west coast.
Within the first two weeks of arriving on the east coast, Alex joined Noah in throwing the first of their gCITRICh parties in various venues around the city. Nearly three years later, theyfre stronger than ever, and CITRIC has become synonymous with Holosound. Looking to the future, their goal is simply to expand Holosoundfs reach worldwide by touching as many people as possible through their DJ Sets, CITRIC Parties and Original Productions and Remixes. Madoka
 |
New York based Mark Venneri has been developing a distinct vision of his musical future since he was first introduced to the underground at a warehouse party in Philadelphia in early 1991. It was just a matter of time before he decided to try his hand as a DJ, and eventually, as a producer. Whether he was commanding a clubfs DJ booth, molding intense soundscapes during a live PA or broadcasting his college-radio show entitled Grooveshop, Mark has always been a true innovator. While he remained relatively quiet in these roles for almost a decade in the United States, he felt it was finally time to take his unique sound to the international masses in 2000. With his newly formed artist moniker Madoka, he began his journey and hoped to achieve such a goal.
Mark spent nearly a year refining the quality of his music and crafting the new direction of his original sound. He materialized his ideas by the spring of 2001, and the creative restructuring resulted in his initial body of work entitled MyCity ep. During this time, Mark was also thrilled to accept what he considered to be the opportunity of a lifetime for his own Private Reality imprint. In early 2002, he announced an agreement with 3 Beat Label Management, encompassing the manufacturing, distribution and promotional details of future releases and becoming part of the groupfs impressive stable of leading labels. In just a few quick years as Director, Mark successfully managed to expand the labelfs roster to include some of the freshest international talent abroad such as Roel, Clubbervision, Satoshi Fumi and Bart van Wissen.
In the past, Madokafs gPlataformah (Release Elements) was licensed to Kazellfs Driven, while both "Altered" (ShineMusic) and "Afterburner" (Private Reality) scored spots on Max Grahamfs Shine compilation. His previously unreleased remixes "First Class, Free Drinks Rub" breaks mix of Matthew Dekay's "If I Could Fly" (Deep) and the dub version of Powerplant's "Turn It Into Gold" (Deep) were also both featured on Steve Gerrard's Thinking Out Loud (Nascent). His hit "Altered" appeared on DJ19's Addictive Asia: Gate2 (S2S Pte Ltd.) while Roelfs remix of Madokafs gDrifth was included on Japanese DJ Sofs Soul Glider (Aqua). Recently, Madoka's now-classic "Metamotional" found its way onto one of 2006's most critically-acclaimed series, Ben Watts' Buzzin' Fly Volume 3, after a year of solid support from Ben that began with his Radio One Essential Mix in February, 2005.
Building on the initial excitement of reworking Automagicfs gIfll Be Hereh (Definity) and gIf I Could Flyh in earlier years, Madoka continued to build an impressive list of production credibility. His 2005 interpretations of Clubbervision's "Paz" (Private Reality) and "Saturation Generation" mixes of Brahma's "Submerged" (Babylon) equally strengthened his reputation for turning out solid remix packages.
2005 also marked Madokafs return to the DJ and performance arena. He has played some of the best international rooms in cities such as Tokyo, Amsterdam, Turkey, Bulgaria and Vienna while managing to hit some US spots such as Jacksonville Beach and his hometown New York City. With each new performance, Madoka continues to create his signature saturated sound with his fresh and forward ideas.
Since October 2004, Madoka has turned his attention from his vinyl venture to the digital domain, launching his download-exclusive label called Metamotional, affectionately named in honor of his critically acclaimed masterpiece on Deep Focus. Created and branded apart from Private Reality, the label is currently exclusively distributed via Beatport. The digital imprint has already featured his dark, dirty and twisted monster "MTTM (Madoka's Tribute to Mazzo Mix)," Roel's massive remix of "Drift,h Satoshi Fumifs gMoment Of Truth,h and Leroy Carrollfs "My Thinking Machine" packages. MMadoka has also recently released his first full-length album entitled "A Cure for Loneliness". The album features an all new set of 8 original tracks already setting a new standard for the label and destined to become a future classic in any DJ's box.

Indicant
 |
‘Indicant’ is an alias used by an underground producer/remixer/DJ who puts out house
and deep-house tracks you’ve possibly heard... but figured it would probably be a good
idea to use a separate moniker for electro-house, progressive-house and tech-house
releases. That’s it.
Indicant is typically found perched high above the Naked City in a sound laboratory
called ‘Twilight Technologies’, preparing & diffusing a harmonically corrupt signal by
programming unsanitary beats and stained electronic sequences.
Indicant is also known to jetset into the DJ booths of the world’s top dancehalls, forcefully
propagating a collage of his fluent blends into the glitterati’s unsuspecting eardrums.
Indicant has been DJing and producing underground dance music, under various aliases,
since 1990. The NYC-based artist released his first self-titled record as the debut release
on his own Quarterlife Records New York label, unveiled in much fanfare at the label’s
release party at Cielo in NYC in January of 2008 (see www.youtube.com/quarterlifenyc).
His productions and DJ sets reflect a new sound that Indicant is pushing, which he calls a
‘smallroom’ sound. This is essentially the opposite of what are known as ‘bigroom’ house
anthems, which are produced for large commercial clubs and use studio effects like
reverb and echoes to give the tracks a large-scale sound. Indicant’s smallroom tracks,
on the other hand, are designed to cut through small or midsize underground clubs and
have a tighter, dryer, urgent, more insular or ‘high-pressure’ feel to them. His smallroom
electro DJ sets have already caused quite a stir in the US clubs in 2008 and are sure
to keep people on their toes as the Indicant sound rolls our internationally in late 2008.
Accompanying this launch will be guest DJ sets on Frisky Radio and DI.FM, plus a string of
original and remix releases on independent and major labels.
In early 2008, Indicant teamed up with New York DJ Alex Pearce to found his third label,
Quarterlife Records New York, and the new imprint is already spawning hit underground
records at a blinding pace (see http://www.beatport.com/label/Quarterlife+Records).
Quarterlife Records focuses on finding, releasing and pushing a distinct spectrum of
sounds from the dance music underground - on one end, the pounding beats of tough,
gritty in-your-face electro house music… on the other end, the smooth, sophisticated,
intelligent polished beats of progressive and tech house… and the narrow niche in
between. Quarterlife is already home to such diverse international artists as Indicant, Bit
Crushers, Royal Sapien, DJ Eco and Pete van Riot and garners global support from the
likes of Noel Sanger, Andy Moor and Flash Brothers.
