d-phrag is Ivan Philipov, 38-years old graphic designer from Bulgaria. He always have been passionate about different styles of music, but definitely not the mainstream, which is on each & every radiostation. His love with electronic music dates back to 2002 when he heard some trance/progressive trance tracks as well as the Astral Projection, who by that time were hip and kinda underground. Later his musical taste has been heavily influenced by the Global Underground series, The Essential Mix on BBC, as well as John Digweed's Kiss 100 radioshow.

At some point he decided to try some DJ software in order to make a mix with only the tracks he likes and that was the moment he fell in love with DJ mixing. After a year of rather underground mixing, he has been invited to do a guest mix as "Artist Of The Week" on friskyradio.com - and that event logically led to his own DJ show on the same radio. The show is called Immersed and features new and established talents on the progressive electronic music scene. Currently the show has an average of 1500 listeners from all over the world. The show has been a good start for young and upcoming artists like Lokitas, Silent Brothers, Grigory & Anthony and Denver & Mints from Russia, Audionova from Serbia, Kintar & Rex from Argentina as well as many others (many of them are now residents with their own show on friskyradio).

DJ Versus (moniker of Daniel Genchev) started his djing career at the tender age of 14 playing commercial music at discos and clubs in his home town. His obsession to Hi-Fi equipment and appreciation for the quality sound were the main reasons that led to a change in his musical taste. Versus became addicted to the electronic music which fascinated him with it`s quality pumped-up sound, it`s energy and the messages it carries. What followed was a number of parties promoted by him, gigs around the whole country and abroad. After he met DJ Smooke their friendship, similar ideas and musical tastes led to the creation of their own label and promoting company called "HITEX Promotions". DJ Chovec, also known as Plamen Kunov, was born on February 15 1988 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Among other things his passion are the graphic and web design. Dj mixing is more like a hobby for him, as he likes to relax listening to the pleasant sounds of the electronic music. He is still a very underground DJ, as he havent yet played live. He had his own show on the late ADN Alternative (R.I.P), "Progressive Minds", and after he met DJ Sinai they decided to join efforts for show's hosting. It all began in 1996 with the popularization of electronic music in Bulgaria and bands like Orbital, Future Sound of London and Underworld. These artists made me love electronic music and are still among my favorite. Alongside with them I fell into the psychedelic trance music for the next couple of years until one day I heard those new progressive sounds. To name few artists and DJs that most influenced his music preferences - Cass & Slide, Sander Kleinenberg, Alex Metchev, Danny Tenaglia, Tiga and many others.

Now 'those new progressive sounds' became established tunes and the future of progressive music is just yet to be seen.

Music always was an essential part of my lifestyle. Around 10 years ago I became really interested in the electronic genres, and especially in house music. Back in the day it was djs like Paul Oakenfold that got me into this, and I slowly realized the beauty and variety intelligent house music offered. Escodero (aka DJ Retek) was born in 1979 in Varna/Bulgaria. His passion to the music is since he has been very little. In 1993 he bought some cd's from War Records and then his passion to the electronic music begins! At the beginning he plays ambient, idm, acid, techno & house. He started his carrier like a resident in some small clubs in Varna. In 1999 some big djs heard him and decided to give him an event in Comics Club/Varna. He played with all most of the best Bulgarian dj's and world dj's like: Filterheadz, Tom Baker, Hi Fi Princess, Max Brown, Space Dj'z, DJ Cave, Ade Fanton, DJ Surgeon, DJ Boss, DJ Manush, Andreas Kremer and more. PHM (aka Petar Filipov) was born in 1989 in Plovdiv/Bulgaria. His passion to the electronic music started with listening mostly to Deep Dish in the beginning of 2004, some months later he found the dark tribal! At the tender age of 11 Maiz was abducted by the Warewolf Women of the SS who, while keeping him in their secret underground headquarters, indulged in long listening sessions featuring The Prodigy, Orbital, Chemical Brothers, Underworld, FSOL & Leftfield, just to name a few. After carrying out a brave escape plan Maiz gained back his freedom but the music that those Warewolf Women of the SS used to listen to left him deeply impressed. Hooked on the fresh new sound, Maiz soon developed an exquisite taste for quality electronic music. He dove deep into the myriad of styles in EDM, experimenting with house, techno, d’n’b, dub, breaks, trance and IDM. Maiz soon began to DJ at school parties and events and together with his closest friend HereDisSound started a radio show at the school radio in 1996. During those early days electronic music was something completely new not only in his small hometown, but also in Bulgaria, and the sounds that came through the speakers caught teachers and fellow students off-guard - - amazed and speechless. In 1998 Maiz helped his cousin Versus set up the first electronic music night in his hometown in the infamous Opium Club.

However, unfavorable coincidences halted his DJ-ing attempts in 1999 and Maiz had to focus his attention on boring schoolwork. Although he wasn’t allowed to pursue his hobby any more, Maiz continued his love affair with electronic music with even stronger passion, focusing his attention primarily on the relentless techno sounds and the beautiful house melodies - the two styles he has kept closest to this day. Fast forward to fall 2006 in Philadelphia, USA, and you’ll find out that Maiz had just fulfilled his most sincere dream - he was able to lay his hands on a pair of Technics 1200s, a mixer and a handful of records. Long hours of practice soon followed and in a short time Maiz mastered the art of creative track blending. Maiz indulges in playing both house and techno. His house sets are heavily influenced by the sound of NYC - they are an exquisite mixture of heavy bass lines, deep sounds, tribal drums & progressive melodies. Among his favorite labels are Stereo, Iberican, Beatfreak, the Pure Music Label Group, Bedrock, GU, Hope - just to name a few. While playing Maiz always strives to create an eclectic blend of quality house grooves that relentlessly move the dancefloor.

Date & place of birth: June 26th 1981, Sofia, Bulgaria Kliment Dichev solo project emerges after years of experience of sound manipulation and musical creativity between ambient/chill out and progressive/psy trance. Featuring several electronic music projects (Samodelia, Ar Kane, Mana, Disham), there is perhaps one thing which is most common to describe them all: live act.

Real time live act is something like binding musical fibers together in a complete rainbow of moving colors, here and now. Imagine time sequences and samples being continuously switched and edited at the same moment. This way tracks could never be played in exactly the same way when it comes to live sequencing or filtering or echo jugglers never throw the balls the same way. Thus, time is completely stopping: you choose how to introduce the next track, what elements will be first, second, or which ones you will not play today, how long will last this main line or that break out. And before each party you can easily reshuffle the elements of the tracks, i.e. effectively exchanging grooves or melodies between the lines. Of course, you always risk getting a glitch or a crack, but it's damn live after all, not just like pressing the play button and enjoying a perfect entire mix for an hour and a half while dancing with the public.

Alexander Velkov is the real name of DJ MUGGSY, who was born in 1980. He is one of the well known DJ�fs in his country Bulgaria. He grew up in a musical family where many different kinds of music were present most of the time. His music career began at a very early age, when he started collecting vinyl at the age of 10. Through his childhood he has shown an addiction and interest for music, which immediately introduced him into mixing music. His preference was for hard rock, metal and alternative music and he vividly pursued its cultural development. In 1997 Alex got interested in electronic music. His first musical idol must have been DEEP DISH. His first touch with house music was on a party at Florida club that Alex saw a record-player for the first time and maybe it was love at first sight, because very soon mixing became his hobby. Thanks to his friend Dj Shurley Machine (now DJ Juan Alvarez), he learns the basics of mixing and makes his first steps behind the decks as a House DJ in club Florida. Through remixing and working at a DJ agency he started focusing more on the progressive side of House music from 2000 to presents.

Nowadays he got a residency at club MAKALALI (www.makalali.eu), a club in Plovdiv who is special by his strong musical quality and also the quality of the guests DJ�fs invited. He played also in Roxy, Planet, Plazma, Eskada, Gallardo, Bash, Tifani and many more clubs. In 2006 Alex met DJ Mr. Moon and they soon realize that they share the same music taste, being influenced by all types of sounds, rock, pop, funk, disco, soul, acid jazz. The duo begins to produce tracks together in 2006 and then they decide to establish label �gSYNCHRONIZE�h. Their primary focus being progressive and electro house. Rado Kuzev a.k.a Timetourist/speaking stone/ lives and works in Burgas, Bulgaria. He had graduated at School for Applied Arts "Kiril and Medotii". Bringed up by non-commercial parents, they gave his son freedom to do everything which he likes and feels doing best - painting and music. His first steps with propagandizing new digital underground music of the youth society makes with radio show "Lifeforms", where he presents artists form the electronic scene.

Later he starts playing like a DJ in a local clubs and then in the whole country in cities like Veliko Turnovo, Gabrovo, Ruse, Pzardjik, Sofia, Plovdiv, Shumen.. etc. He had played with famous artists like X-DREAM, YAHEL, ASTRIX and participate with promoters like MAGRATHEA, VORTEX, VIVID DREAMS. Zon is Martin Dimitrov, born in 1989 in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 2003 he was intoduced to dj software and music production. Shortly afterwards he consumed himself in music and left school to persue his dj career. This step brought a result and his music didn't left unseen. He released his first remix of DJ Lion's Should be free on USB Digital Records. Cracks, Plops, Blips and Bass is what he is floodin DJ Zon says: g the speakers with. The sound he makes is deep and minimalistic, but still has that trancy soul that just makes it warmer. Still only 18, he believes that music is what he breathes for.
